Mrs Tickly Toes Reflexology- Ticklin’ Toes

Hello and welcome to my Blog my name is Heather Salt, Im a reflexologists at Mrs tickly toes, based in Derbyshire. I specialise in the treatment of children and young people, babies, and fertility. I am also an Association of Reflexologists approved trainer and offer training in my specialist areas. I also offer training within the NHS with Encore, am linked with Derby Universities Midwifery course and offer private CPD training for both trained and untrained reflexologists. If you are interested in any courses these can be found on the training tab of my website.

I'm new to this blogging malarky and I’m really hoping that there is someone out there that will read this and find it interesting!

So, what is reflexology? Reflexology dates back thousands of years and was used all over the world as treatment to help aid people in their health journeys. Reflexology is a holistic therapy that focuses on applying moderate pressure to specific reflex points on the feet, hands, face and ears using fingers and thumbs. This pressure maps certain areas which correspond with areas of the body and help to identify weakness and areas needing support.

This guide will hopefully answer any questions you have about reflexology, including what is reflexology for and how does it work, who can benefit from it most, and some tips on getting the most out of treatment. Plus, you'll also learn some interesting facts that you probably didn't expect; I will also tie in my knowledge of other holistic therapies such as aromatherapy and homeopathy to help you find the best solution.

I've been reflexologists now for six years and in the specialisms that I work in so with children and young people especially I find that it's a really beneficial practise because you're able to do something quite remarkable on the feet that gives relief; it's not painful and is a relaxing treatment that people get all sorts of different benefits from such as improved sleep, lower blood pressure and it can help support with pian relief and joint problems.

On this blog, I hope I will be able to share my experience of reflexology and the importance of self-care. I hope to give you some hints & tips on how to live in a healthy way and support your body when it's under stress. I'm going to be sharing lots of different practise so things around fertility, menopause, pregnancy, labour, anxiety and PTSD in children and baby reflexology just to name but a few, so do follow my blog.

I'll be talking about specific issues each time so if you're in a particular field of work or area of expertise that you would really like reflexology to touch on please do send me an e-mail or get in touch via my website and I will record an episode in your area of speciality.

My goal is to try and bring reflexology to everybody and open the door to the masses, making  sure that people are not asking what is reflexology for; instead they're asking what can it not be used for because the list is shorter.

Hopefully you will come along on the journey with me as I'm really excited to be sharing my knowledge and I hope it comes in useful.
